TCI has an immediate need for an Application Developer in Melbourne, FL. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. The Software Developer will support our Government/Military client. Software Engineer to join the Mission Networks software team providing modern, secure, reliable and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. Join the team developing critical communication capabilities for air traffic control, air-to-ground data communication, secure access to situational awareness data and secure information sharing to state agencies.  Responsibilities include developing & integrating software, evaluating COTS software & tools and supporting operational systems in production. Work alongside various cross-functional teams to creatively solve complex problems and contribute to product innovation. On-Call Support for the operational environment may be expected.
  • Design, development and integration of software applications
  • Develop software as part of an Agile team, following best practices and keeping high standards of software quality
  • Leverage automation of tools and testing to increase quality of code
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop use cases, and generate estimates and work plans
  • Active participation in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Package and support deployment of releases
  • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of Software Development experience including understanding of Object-Oriented Design methodology and Design Patterns.
  • Hands-on experience scripting and administering Linux and Windows environments.
  • Understanding of Internetworking with TCP/IP.
  • Experience developing applications for environments with HA requirements.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and automation.
  • Ability to gain a FAA Public Trust clearance.
