TCI has an immediate need for an IT Asset Analyst in Rochester, NY or Melbourne, FL. Training may be provided for the otherwise well qualified candidates. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The IT Asset Analyst will implement and execute processes related to the lifecycle management of software and hardware assets within the organization. As part of the IT Asset Management team this position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with processing software and hardware request and maintenance renewals.
  • Review request and assign available licenses or procure licenses as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of repository by documenting software installation procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure software serial numbers and/or other license identifiers are entered into the software asset management database and ensure the information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable.
  • Coordinate and document true-up and/or periodic internal license reviews for key vendors.
  • Work with vendors, business groups, IT and Supply Chain to analyze and resolve complex issues associated with software licensing rights.
  • Gather requirements and develop software\hardware asset reports for internal customers.
  • Prepares and submits regular project status reports to customer and management.
  • Develop effective working relationships with vendors, business areas, and IT groups.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • 1+ year of experience in an enterprise IT environment performing technical work and general understanding of large corporate IT.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Ariba.
  • Experience with the procurement/purchasing process.
  • Project Management/coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills.
