TCI has an immediate need for an IT Project Manager at Fort Knox, KY. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the probability of extensions. THIS IS LOCAL REMOTE WORK WITH SOME ON-SITE AS NEEDED.
SUMMARY
The IT Project Manager will work with the Systems Management Branch (SMB) team having primary responsibilities in accomplishing and performing Project Management in support of the enterprise, application and infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead IT project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Facilitate the development of project solutions to be used for planning, scheduling and tracking projects through integration of various project management tools.
  • Contributes to project estimation process.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including sub-contractor monitoring.
  • Integrate and use specific industry tools and methodologies; ensures adherence to requirements.
  • Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues.
  • Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria in accordance with organization’s ITIL, ISO, CMMI and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Assists in the training of the project team on application of procedures.
  • Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules and resolve technical/operational issues.
  • Must be able to implement and maintain a secure environment in compliance with all IA and DoD guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an IT Project Manager in an applications software development environment is required.
  • Must have Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related fields.  Four years of additional general experience may be substituted for a Bachelor.
  • Knowledge of ISO/ITIL processes and documentation standards is desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Work may be performed remotely with some on-site work as needed.
  • Must currently possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to start (Must be a US Citizen).  TCI will assist with clearance application/transfer.
