TCI has an immediate need for a Java Developer / Analyst in Findlay, OH. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity. Our enterprise level client is the largest transportation fuels refiner in the Nation.
Our Client is looking for a Java Developer to support large-scale IT applications used by their Pipe Line Operations & Logistics. The Client wants to ensure all candidates that they are eligible for potential conversion to full-time employment. As part of the screening criteria each candidate must have reliable transportation to be able to report to work on a full-time basis. The Client is not interested in any individual working remotely.
  • Ensure client needs are met; participate in routine team meetings to align priorities and expectations
  • Provide day-to-day support of business-critical applications; address break/fix items in a timely manner
  • Support integrations with other systems, including SAP
  • Partner with project teams to transfer knowledge of new system functionality
  • Plan and coordinate technology upgrades to ensure systems remain reliable, secure and supported
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and standards
  • Perform various forms of testing throughout the software development lifecycle; automate regression test scripts for efficiency
  • Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity drills
  • Participate in other project work as needed
  • 3+ years of experience as a Java Developer.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, professionalism, initiative, and interpersonal skills
  • Java (preferred) or .NET C#, Java Swing
  • Oracle PL/SQL (preferred) or SQL Server T-SQL
  • Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 10)
  • Collaborative software development (Git repositories, creating and merging branches)
  • Experience with various testing approaches (black box testing, white box testing, boundary testing, etc.)
  • Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Logistics a plus; experience integrating with SAP a plus
