TCI has an immediate need for a Java Developer in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent. SUMMARY
The Java Developer will develop and maintain Web-based applications to enable agency components to deliver their services online.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain web-based applications utilizing Java technologies.
  • Develops the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site.
  • Able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Secure Coding Practices such as Encryption of Data In Motion/At Rest and input Validation.
  • Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program.
  • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 7+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years of experience in Web-based design/development.
  • Strong knowledge of/experience with the following: UI/UX Design, JAVA/J2EE, Linux, SQL, Responsive Web Design, XML/JSON, Oracle DB, WebSphere, Tomcat, and/or Rapid Application Development (RAD) servers, STRUTS/Spring frameworks, JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, Containers, preferably Docker, DevSecOps, Secure Coding Practices such as Encryption of Data In Motion/At Rest and input Validation; and Cloud Technology (Preferred).
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the following: Agile Methodologies and SDLC practices.
  • Knowledge of/experience with the following: VersionOne, ServiceNow, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Test automation using UFT and/or Selenium, Capacity Planning and or Project Management/Project Planning.
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
