SUMMARY
The Wireless Network Engineer (Aruba Router/Switch) will design, implement, and optimize Aruba-based Wi-Fi networks to meet organizational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement Aruba-based routing and switching solutions to support wireless network infrastructure.
- Configure and optimize Aruba switches, routers, and related components to ensure seamless integration with Aruba Wi-Fi technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deploy wireless networks using Aruba Wi-Fi solutions.
- Ensure synergy between wireless and wired network components for optimal performance.
- Configure and optimize Aruba routing and switching hardware, including switches and routers.
- Implement and maintain Aruba Access Points (APs) and Mobility Controllers for comprehensive network coverage.
- Implement and manage security measures for both wired and wireless Aruba networks.
- Ensure adherence to security policies and best practices, leveraging Aruba's security features.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Aruba wireless and wired networks, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or issues.
- Implement optimization strategies to enhance overall network efficiency.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support for Aruba wireless and routing/switching-related issues.
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated incidents and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Aruba routing and switching configurations, wireless network designs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Develop training materials and provide training to IT staff and end-users as needed.
- 3-5 years of related experience in an enterprise environment with a focus on Aruba Technologies including routing and switching.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba Access Points, Mobility Controllers, switches, and routers.
- Strong understanding of wireless and wired network security protocols and standards.
- Experience implementing Aruba security features, including role-based access control and device profiling.
- Familiarity with network management tools, including Aruba AirWave, for monitoring and optimizing both wireless and wired network performance.
- Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or higher preferred.
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
