The Wireless Network Engineer (Aruba Wi-Fi) will design, implement, and optimize Aruba-based Wi-Fi networks to meet organizational requirements.
- Conduct site surveys to assess environmental factors affecting Wi-Fi performance and coverage.
- Configure and optimize Aruba wireless hardware, including Access Points (APs), Mobility Controllers, and AirWave.
- Ensure proper placement and configuration of Aruba devices for optimal network performance.
- Implement and manage security measures for Aruba Wi-Fi networks, including encryption, authentication, and role-based access control.
- Stay current with Aruba security features and apply best practices to safeguard the wireless infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Aruba Wi-Fi networks, identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Implement optimization strategies to enhance network efficiency, capacity, and user experience.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support for Aruba Wi-Fi-related issues.
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated incidents and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Aruba Wi-Fi network configurations, designs, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Develop training materials and provide training to IT staff and end-users as needed.
- 3-5 years of related experience in an enterprise environment with a focus on Aruba technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Aruba Wi-Fi solutions, including ArubaOS, Aruba Instant, and ClearPass.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba Access Points, Mobility Controllers, and AirWave.
- Strong understanding of wireless security protocols and standards.
- Experience implementing Aruba ClearPass for network access control and policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with network management tools, including Aruba AirWave, for monitoring and optimizing Wi-Fi performance.
- Ability to integrate Aruba Wi-Fi networks with existing IT infrastructure.
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or higher is preferred.
