SUMMARY
The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining Aruba ClearPass for network access control and policy enforcement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC) policies in ClearPass to ensure secure network access.
- Design and plan Wi-Fi networks based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to understand organizational requirements and design wireless network solutions based on Aruba and Cisco technologies.
- Configure, administer, and maintain Aruba ClearPass for network access control and policy enforcement.
- Implement and manage role-based access control (RBAC) policies in ClearPass to ensure secure network access.
- Design and deploy wireless networks using Aruba Wi-Fi solutions, ensuring optimal coverage, capacity, and performance.
- Implement and manage security measures for wireless networks, focusing on Aruba ClearPass features such as TACACS+, RADIUS, and device profiling.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards through continuous monitoring and enforcement.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for wireless network and Aruba ClearPass-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve escalated incidents and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for wireless network configurations, Aruba ClearPass policies, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Develop and update network diagrams and documentation as needed.
- 5+ years of related experience in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba ClearPass for network access control.
- Experience in implementing ClearPass policies, enforcement profiles, and device onboarding.
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards and protocols.
- Experience with Aruba Wi-Fi technologies, including ArubaOS, Aruba Instant, and ClearPass integration.
- Strong understanding of wireless security protocols and standards.
- Familiarity with Aruba security features, including role-based access control and dynamic segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba wireless hardware, including Access Points and Mobility Controllers.
- Knowledge of other networking hardware, such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP) certification preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Cisco preferred.
