TCI has an immediate need for a Junior Network Engineer in Raleigh, NC or in Eagan, MN. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. SUMMARY
As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work with a team to support their network and compute technologies and infrastructure ensuring 100% up time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will work providing infrastructure and network migration support.
  • Configure and validate basic network configurations.
  • Plan and track migration activities
  • Investigate and troubleshoot post migration issues
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
  • Will provide IT support, who is capable of working both independently and as part of an existing Client Network team.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 1 year of Networking experience is required
  • Strong Knowledge of IP Address Management (IPAM)
  • Familiar with basic network interface configurations - default gateway, subnet mask, etc.
  • Basic understanding of modern operating systems and network technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Manages time effectively
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented personality
  • Ability to communicate well to other members of the migration team
  • Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Experience with routers and switches
    Strong understanding of DHCP, DHCP reserved, and Static IP addressing
  • Experience with project management.
