Junior Network Engineer
Job Description
TCI has an immediate need for a Junior Network Engineer in Raleigh, NC or in Eagan, MN. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work with a team to support their network and compute technologies and infrastructure ensuring 100% up time.

As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work with a team to support their network and compute technologies and infrastructure ensuring 100% up time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will work providing infrastructure and network migration support.
- Configure and validate basic network configurations.
- Plan and track migration activities
- Investigate and troubleshoot post migration issues
- Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
- Will provide IT support, who is capable of working both independently and as part of an existing Client Network team.
- A minimum of 1 year of Networking experience is required
- Strong Knowledge of IP Address Management (IPAM)
- Familiar with basic network interface configurations - default gateway, subnet mask, etc.
- Basic understanding of modern operating systems and network technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Manages time effectively
- Creative thinking skills
- Detail-oriented personality
- Ability to communicate well to other members of the migration team
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
- Desired Skills:
- Experience with routers and switches
Strong understanding of DHCP, DHCP reserved, and Static IP addressing - Experience with project management.
