Job Description

TCI is seeking a Level II IT Tech for a full time job in Highland Park, MI.
The Level II IT Tech will be part of 3 person IT team supporting the network/hardware/software systems for a brand-new manufacturing plant facility. One will serve as the administrator for systems as well as provide end-user support.
KEY DUTIES TO INCLUDE (but not limited to):
  • Support L1, L2 and L3 IT issues and users within the manufacturing plant
  • Perform Network and System Server troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, patching, replacement
  • Support end-users for MS Office and PC / Desktop issues.
  • Keep IT management up to date with local and system changes
  • Create and escalate support tickets
  • Desktop/Laptop setup and distribution
  • Execute failover/failback of shop floor systems on a periodic basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting systems and networks (candidates with an Associates Degree or higher can have less experience).
  • Excellent system & network troubleshooting skills
  • Great communication/customer service skills - ability to work with all levels of employees and their technical (or lack of) abilities
  • Good understanding of/interest in shop floor systems (sequencing, traceability etc.)
  • Solid knowledge with: Microsoft Operating Systems; Windows 7/10; MS Server 2008 / 2012; MS Office Suite 2010
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associates degree in Information Technology
  • Certifications in Networks (ex: CCNA) or Systems (ex: MCSE
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
  • Cisco Networking experience and/or training preferred.
