TCI has an immediate need for a Network Administrator in Salt Lake City, UT. This is not a C2C opportunity.  This is a long-term contract opportunity with probability of extensions and/or hire. The Network Administrator will be responsible for providing operational and technical support for Salt Lake City's LAN network environments. The ideal candidate must understand business requirements and translate these requirements into solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary workgroups to seek solutions to problems.
  • Champion compliance & change efforts which result in improved reliability & security of infrastructure services.
  • Perform network administration on switches, routers, and firewall network devices.
  • Monitor network device health and identify issues using common industry toolsets.
  • Problem tracking, management, and resolution of issues in a 24/7 manufacturing location. The candidate will be called upon to perform duties during off-hours on occasion as needed.
  • Engage in auditing, compliance, and risk assessment processes.
  • Ensure network device inventory is accurate.
  • Review and Update network diagrams to accurately represent the physical connected IP network infrastructure.
  • Identify, Analyze, and Elevate potential Cybersecurity events according to company procedures.
  • Daily activities may also include network device backup administration, performance tuning, change control administration, network security detection administration, and self-auditing to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Administration of network device logging to identify security or reliability issues.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting a Cisco network environment.
  • Solid skills in troubleshooting, maintaining and configuring Cisco routers, switches as well as firewall devices.
  • Provide support for connectivity across the LAN/WAN.
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience around support technologies/systems spanning refining control systems, switches, routers, and firewall devices is most beneficial.
  • Knowledge of basic server administration is a big plus.
