TCI has an immediate need for a Network Engineer in Louisville, KY. Candidates must be local with some flexibility for remote work. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity. The Network Engineer will work with the Network Infrastructure team to provide Technical and Compliance support for an enterprise network environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and a desire to support them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Selected candidate will be working with the IT IO Data Networking team to provide IT Technical and Compliance support for an enterprise network environment.
  • Candidate will be required to design, build, and implement enterprise environments based on specified criteria.
  • Candidate will assist with network installations of Cisco equipment, updating network documentation and drawings, and provide support for incident tickets.
  • Candidate will assist with reviewing and updating procedural documentation as needed.
  • Ability to be part of an on-call rotation.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 4-5 years of implementing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers & switches in a medium to large enterprise business environment.
  • Degree in IT and 2+ years of Cisco experience (or 4+ years of Cisco experience if no degree).
  • Enterprise experience with Cisco router/switches/firewalls required including configuration and troubleshooting Layer2 and Layer3 devices and WAN, SW-WAN experience.
  • Knowledge of Cisco FTD and/or Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Understanding of Internet Edge design and Enterprise traffic flows.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Python, Automation, Cisco DNA Center and Cisco ISE.
  • Position could require candidate to work outside of an office environment part of the time.
  • Local candidates only with some flexibility for partial work-from-home available.
DESIRED (nice to have) SKILLS
  • Security certification and Cisco Security experience a plus.
  • Experience using network management/monitoring tools such as Solarwinds.
  • Data Center Switching/Cisco ACI is desired.
