TCI has an immediate need for a Platform Services Administrator in South Charleston, WV. The main function of an enterprise platform services administrator is to install, configure, and support the organization’s enterprise platform services portfolio. The platform services portfolio is made up of a set of applications that provide middleware services including web servers, application servers, web content management, web search capability and single sign on. This role is focused primarily on the single sign on service and its support.
  • Maintain and administer enterprise applications used to deliver the single sign on service and the related computing environments including applications software, and all configurations.
  • Ensure application backups are performed and participate in disaster recovery operations of the enterprise applications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software or other network and system problems, and correct any issues identified.
  • Configure, monitor and maintain enterprise applications.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support.
  • 4 years of experience working as an enterprise platform administrator responsible for monitoring the enterprise platform services to ensure availability to all system users, perform necessary maintenance to support security and availability, and perform configuration to providing functionality to the organization.
  • Ability to work with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of all three tiers of the web application architecture (web server, application server, database server).
  • Working knowledge of single sign on operation and use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and application requirements.
  • Knowledge of/experience with the following: VersionOne, ServiceNow, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Test automation using UFT and/or Selenium.
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
