In this unique career opportunity, you will be supporting the high-profile cloud migration of various mainframe information systems at a billion-dollar global enterprise in the US public sector. This will involve extensive collaboration with interfacing systems/organizations in the Dayton, OH area so bring your expertise and communication skills in support of US Air Force Data Management projects.
The Business Systems Analyst will act as a SME of the Stock Control System (SCS), working with other SME’s and support staff to assist in a cloud migration from the current data environment. This includes the testing of the migrated software to verify successful conversion of mainframe code to JAVA.
  • Interact with cross functional teams in keeping the SCS in compliance with the current and proposed changes.
  • Act as the audit point of contact with various government agency auditors for billing review and verification, requiring technical operations and structure knowledge of the SCS.
  • Perform development tasks of SCS end user materials for training modules once developed software has been delivered to the PMO.
  • Develop Government Cost Estimates (GCEs) for Computer Requirements (CRs) that require modifications to the SCS.
  • Conduct Technical Evaluations of Engineering Cost Proposals submitted by various parties, including contractors.
  • Continually collaborate with key representatives of interfacing systems and their stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings and conferences to accomplish tasks and as directed by the Program Managers (PM).
  • Also responds to PM inquiries of system transactions and processing rejects analysis.
  • High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of AF logistics systems.
  • Familiar with application source code written in COBOL, CA-IDEAL, C++, and JAVA.
  • Ability to extensively use Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with AFIs, Technical Order Policies, and DoD directives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience in DoD project support.
  • Familiar with SharePoint.
  • Solid knowledge of the SCS.
