TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Full Stack Java Developer.  This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. The Full Stack Java Developer will be responsible for the application development life cycle for new design and testing of Java Web Applications. This will be accomplished utilizing Java Spring Boot, RESTful API, PostgreSQL, Apache Camel, Kafka, Angular, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Work collaboratively in role on Agile teams, with ability to complete assigned projects and develop code with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Create and manage development in a fully automated CI/CD environment using tools (i.e., Jenkins and Puppet).
  • Perform development tasks using tools (i.e., Agile Scrum).
  • Contribute to cross-functional teamwork with acceptance/functional testing duties and incremental feature development.
  • Participate in regular code reviews while adhering to DevOps best practices.
  • Promote development/test teams’ participation in testing, tuning, and troubleshooting for acceptance, load, and performance requirements.
  • Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (or similar) or 4+ years of Software Development experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Java development.
  • 2+ years of Agile.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
  • Development experience in AWS, Azure, RESTful microservices, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and React, Jira, Confluence, Git-based tools, Jenkins, Puppet, Groovy Scripts, and Terraform.
  • Experience converting PowerBuilder programs to Java and Agile software development practices.
  • Certifications: CISSP or CSSLP or the ability to achieve one within the year; SAFe Agile and/or CSM (or similar certification).
