TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Java Developer. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the probability of extensions. POSITION REQUIRES A DoD PUBLIC TRUST SECURITY CLEARANCE PRIOR TO START.

SUMMARY

The Java Developer will under general direction, develop Web based applications, including online customer service, to enable agency components to deliver their services online. Provides support for the implementation of interfaces to Web-based applications. Typically performs all functional duties independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Assist team with preparation of cost estimates
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
REQUIREMENTS
  • JAVA 7+ year’s experience, Moderate SQL experience, additional PYTHON experience and Cloud Development experience (Google / Microsoft Azure) preferred
  • A minimum of seven (7) years experience in software development and/or related field
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred
  • Able to perform all functional duties independently
  • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel
  • Moderate knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and utilizing information systems
  • Moderate experience collaborating with equipment designers and hardware engineers to optimize the interaction of system and application software with the hardware platform on which it executes
  • Moderate experience developing compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
  • Moderate experience collaborating with end users to define new system requirements
  • Moderate experience with one or more application software languages (e.g. Java, C#, etc) and/or one or more machine/assembly languages
  • Moderate experience providing customization of software applications to meet pre-defined requirements through the use of application programming languages and/or machine/assembly languages
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.
