TCI has an immediate need for a Senior VMWare Engineer in Merrifield, VA. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. SUMMARY

The Senior VMWare Engineer will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA. This is an on-site position with no telecommute.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Installing and setting up ESXi cluster using either version 6.x or 7.x.
  • Managing and maintaining the ESXi environment using the vCenter 6.x or 7.x.
  • Ability to write scripts using the VMWare CLI and PowerShell utilities to automate setup and management activities in the ESXi environment 6.x or 7.x.
  • Managing large ESXi environment 6.x or 7.x using vCenter to create, clone, snapshot, maintain, backup and restore VMs, create and manage datastore and virtual networking.
  • Manage and maintain the ESXi servers.
  • Managing and supporting Servers, storage, and network.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience with VMWare, ESXI and vCenter and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with virtualization of large multiple environments: RHEL; Solaris; Unix; Windows.
  • Must possess a valid Public Trust Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Site Recovery Manager is desired.
  • vRA or vCloud is a plus.
  • VMware Certified Associate (VCA) preferred.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
