Job Description

TCI has an immediate need for a Server / NAS Administrator in San Antonio, TX.   This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity.  This is a long-term contract opportunity.
This position is 100% on-site in San Antonio - No remote work available

The Server & SAN/NAS Administrator will be the point person responsible for planning the consolidation of servers/storage/backup across the Enterprise. One will review which servers/storage can be consolidated and create a plan for internal team and outside vendors to implement.

  • Consolidation of servers/storage/backup across IT Enterprise.
  • Centralize systems (storage arrays/backups/servers) that are spread across the U.S. via Azure/AWS cloud where possible.
  • Responsible for reducing maintenance & hardware costs where feasible.
  • 6+ years of Storage & Server administration in an Enterprise environment. This is to include having solid experience with data/server migrations.
  • VERY strong planning and communication skills.
  • Ability to scan servers and identify what software & data is on them and who accesses them.
  • Ability to develop a plan to migrate data/servers (have MSP and internal teams to carry out the work)
  • Strong knowledge with scanning technology tools like SCCM, Hyena, etc.
  • Experience with NetApp.
  • Azure/AWS migration experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred but not required.
