TCI has an immediate need for a Hybrid Remote Sr. Systems Administrator Kubernetes DevOps Engineer in Eagan, MN. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity.

Please note that this position requires US Citizenship and a Public Trust Security Clearance prior to start.


We are seeking a Kubernetes DevOps Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Eagan, MN. This position will allow remote telework with limitations. This position will support the team and provide automation development support in the form of developing automation capabilities in order to ensure functionality and usability is aligned with priorities, enabling delivery teams to do their work effectively.


  • Provide SME level infrastructure and network management and automation support.
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading and patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Develop, document, and automate technical processes and procedures as needed.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
  • Install and manage Kubernetes and Ranger clusters.
  • Support automation for all systems


  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Strong UNIX Linux systems administration experience, specifically SUSE.
  • Expert level Rancher and Kubernetes skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with automation and scripting tools.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Ansible.
  • Experience with different languages to include Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with DevOps automation tools like Docker, Ansible.
  • Experience with DevOps monitoring tools like Nagios, Splunk.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
  • Experience with Git, Artifactory and Harborr.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other similar systems.
  • Solid Understanding of modern operating systems and network technologies sufficient to automate associated processes like Windows SLES RHEL.
  • Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems and tasks.
  • Strong background in shell scripting.
  • Must possess a valid Public Trust Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to start. TCI will assist with clearance application or transfer.
