TCI has an immediate need for a Virtualization Engineer in Melbourne, FL. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. The Virtualization Engineer will support our Government/Military client. The Virtualization Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the enterprise IT architecture supporting federal programs in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines. Working closely with teammates, external consultants, and the participating businesses, this individual will develop, deploy, and maintain architecture solutions for projects. Documenting benefits and risks, implementation sequencing, technical design efforts, and facilitate technical change management during implementation.
  • Manage VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployments using Windows and RHEL instant clone desktops.
  • Monitor and maintain of local and remote hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware, vSphere) as well traditional infrastructures utilizing vSAN and enterprise class storage arrays (Cisco UCS servers, UCS fabrics, NetApp, TrueNAS).
  • Monitor/troubleshoot hardware for issues and failures in vCenter and ESXi using vRealize Operations (vROPS).
  • Collaborate with various teams including Engineering and Internal and external customers, to translate requirements and objectives into final product designs, resolve problems to correct trouble within the environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Networking, Information Technology or related field with 6 years of prior related experience OR an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Will consider prior work experience in place of degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience with Cisco UCS servers, UCS fabrics, NetApp, TrueNAS storage arrays.
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience working with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certification registration, account creation, and certificate issuance.
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience working with VMware vSphere, and Horizon VDI.
  • Minimum three (3+) years of experience working with RHEL and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Must have previous experience with Virtualization and Identity Management (IdM) utilizing SAML.
  • This is a 2nd shift work schedule.
