TCI has an immediate need for a Windows Desktop Administrator in Offutt AFB, NE (NO REMOTE). This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. RESPONSIBILITIES
- This team is responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 problem resolution for all desktop and software components on the LAN with the exception of Break/Fix hardware actions. This role also is working towards engineering in operations for new software and systems in the facilities. Building new and system upgrades from the ground up.
- Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, virtual system sessions, security tools, and operating system issues.
- Build, update, maintain Blade PC platform.
- Create and maintain procedural documentation and train junior staff as necessary.
- Support high-level, (NAOC/ABNCP/Exec Comms) computing requirements.
- Install and troubleshoot printers/print queues, scanners and Multi-Function Devices.
- Provide 24X7, and remote location support as needed.
- Work ticket queues and document resolutions completely and accurately.
- Adhere to enterprise architecture by following best practices.
- Utilize both Active Directory and Active Roles Services to monitor and control, users, devices, permissions.
- Perform Enterprise VDI management, VMWare Horizon View, VMWare vSpherre Web Client.
- Distribute software to PCs utilizing SCCM, virtual sessions connection, or by desktop visit to hand load.
- Analyze alerts from various monitoring tools and take appropriate actions during troubleshooting.
- MUST have an active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelors Degree in a related field and 2 to 4 years of Windows Desktop Administration, OR a Masters Degree and 0 to 2 years of experience.
- With a High School Diploma only, 8 to 10 years of Windows Administration experience is required.
- Experience in software installation.
- Laptop/PC maintenance and service.
- Experience with VMWare, ARS, Ivanti, Remedy.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI is required.
