TCI has an immediate need for a Windows Systems Administrator in Fort Knox, KYThis is not a Corp2Corp opportunity.  This is a long-term contract opportunity with the probability of extensions. The Windows Systems Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive Windows administration in an enterprise environment. Must be able to implement and maintain a secure Windows server environment in compliance with all IA and DoD guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade and document all aspects of the Windows architecture in an enterprise environment.
  • Must be able to perform optimization and performance testing.
  • Provide technical support for incident response and reporting and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, work as both a team and/or as a self-directed individual, client-facing experience, self-disciplined and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to train other team members on the applications, proper procedures, problem isolation.
  • Create business continuity documentation for Microsoft Windows 2008R2 and higher server environment.
  • Assist in implementing web-based applications on Microsoft Windows 2008R2 and higher servers.
  • Manage hardware on Windows 2008R2 and higher on physical and virtual machines including processors, memory, network adapters.
  • Supports CM processes and procedures
  • Ability to develop instructions in a logical, detailed flow.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience administering Windows systems (2008R2 or higher) in an Enterprise environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Four years of additional general experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • MUST have Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, SQL, Perl, VBScript, Bash, or Ansible, etc.).
  • Experience in deploying complex business applications is required.
  • Experience with virtualization VMware.
  • Experience in installing software updates, apply STIG configurations and security patches.
  • Experience performing OS and network performance tuning.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of supporting Microsoft technology (AD, DNS, GPO, Powershell).
  • Possess understanding of networking concepts to include VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Familiarity with managing automated patching, Windows SCCM.
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a CompTia Security+ certification before start date.
  • Must possess a Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one prior to start. TCI will assist with obtaining or transferring Security Clearances.
  • A secondary industry related certification is required (MCP, etc.).
