TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Application Quality Assurance Tester in Frankfort, KY. This is NOT a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. Remote work will be considered for candidates residing in Eastern Time Zone only.

NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship.

SUMMARY

The Application Quality Assurance Tester will join a team responsible for delivering excellent software to our internal customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops, executes and maintains software test plans.
Develop manual test scripts for user interface, functionality, and system testing.
Execute regression tests, functional tests and data tests.
Log bugs/issues via an issue tracking tool, and help determine priority of reported bugs.
Provide internal Quality Assurance.
Provide clear reporting on test plan results.
Report on progress of the test process.
Ability to manage change during the test process.
Verification testing in production to ensure the changes were properly installed.
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in validation and modification of software.
Administration of test control and statistics collection (i.e. defect tracking).

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in IT or equivalent combination of experience/knowledge
3-5 years of experience with Quality Assurance Manual Testing
Agile and Iterative Development processes.
Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Automation scripting using TFS.
Defect management and reporting systems knowledge.
Excellent at English writing and oral communication.
Exposure to MS SQL or MySQL preferred.
Programming experience a plus.
Remote work will be considered for candidates residing in Eastern Time Zone only.
